I have just read the contributions to your idea but as I am writing this, I can only see DivineR's response. DivineR covers most of my responses too.
I believe you have to stay positive, even if you don't feel it. Nobody wants to look at a miserable face 24/7! Lipstick is useful for painting on your smiIe! I am getting quite expert in picking myself up from the doldrums, after all, I've been doing it for twenty-two years and still only sixty-three! WHAT! How did I get to 63? (Actually, 62 for one more week).
So a bit of optimism and positivity, followed by therapies which include music, dance, art and writing, etc. are some of my keeping active methods.
Like poeticwarior, I have a poem about all this. I call the chair I usually sit in - The Tardis.
Everything I need is within arms reach of my chair!
