DBS and Magnetism

I just bought a Moto G 3rd Generation phone.  It seemed  ideal – big screen, keyboard etc., and relatively cheap from Tesco;  but the original spec.  hard case that I also bought  is aggressively magnetic, and certain features of the phone depend on this for it to operate effectively.

I had DBS surgery 14 months ago, and that’s  going well, so obviously I don’t want the phone/case combination to turn it off, or damage the neurostimulator.

I’ve tried Google, Amazon, Ebay etc., but I can’t find a good alternative case. Any suggestions gratefully received.

Hi Trev,

You could try contacting the company who manufactured the implant? They will be able to tell you if there's any risk from the phone case.

Best wishes,
