Dementia survey

Hi everyone,

I work in the Policy and Campaigns team at Parkinson’s UK and am writing to let you know about a survey the Department of Health has launched about dementia to hear about people’s experiences.

The survey is for anyone who has received a dementia diagnosis in the last two years, or anyone who currently provides unpaid care or support to a family member or friend who has been diagnosed in the last two years.

We want to make sure that the experiences of people with Parkinson’s related dementia are taken into account so please do share the survey.

I have also completed the survey.

In hindsight I maybe should have done it twice,  once for me a the patient with Lewy bodies and a second time as the carer of my 92 year old mother with vascular dementia. 

I found it difficult to answer from both perceptives

Anyway I hope it helps.
