it worked for me! shelly

Hi all,

Shelly it sounds a bit scary when you say they do watch you, But all your info has been a great help and at least I know what to expect, I will let you know when my home assessment is.

                                                Thanks and take care

                                                      candy.xxx

There trained to spot someone who is swinging the lead so to speak, i think my assessor threw in a trick question ,he asked about hobbies and leisure activities ,my hobby i had to give up due to my tremor , you will be fine Candy , if you are struggling in the kitchen speak to your OT about any equipment he can give you .

Yes please let us know when your assessment is , don't let them fob you off if you get no where speak with your MP .

Good luck hope you get a appointment soon

Gus

We will see if it works for me big grin

it will ! i can feel it in my water wink

Many thanks Shelly65,

I will certainly take your advice about the OT.

                                             Lots of love

                                                Candyxx

Thanks Gus big grin

and Candy thats what the OT is there for  , it was difficult for me at first to have to admit to myself that i needed the equipment that i was given , i thought it would be years before i needed aids  but if it makes life easier then why not  xxx

thats true if it makes life easier take it ,pd is hard enough to cope lucky for me i have my own aid thats my wife

Your lucky Gus my partner  heard about my pd and run the other way  but i have two grown up sons who live at home ,  i agree if it makes life easier then take it

my two pd nurses & my wife are my rocks always there when i need them !

                                   Candy xx

I know the feeling Gus i can't work either , i get so bored some days

How is your claim going Candy ? Capita have till next week to get my report to dwp  before i phone my MP  again , but they did say on Thursday my report was done and was with the Senior Health Professional for auditing so we will see what  next week  brings .

Thanks guys will let you know but i am sure she said there was a food bank article going in next week and the pip will be week after to coincide with thepip  report coming out  there is mine and two other stories i think she said .

I think you can see them online just  do a google search for  real britain daily mirror .

Hi there Shelly65,

My claim is going slowly, I phoned the other day and they said my file has been sent to the assessment dept at Atos and they would send me an appt for a home visit, I sent my claim form back on the 12th of Jan And they said they received it on Jan 15th, So its only been two months which is nothing compared to how long you have had to wait. I may phone again because I think you have to keep reminding them that you are still waiting. I hope you are nearly there now and that you start getting you payments soon.

I have gathered together all my evidence, Can I show the person who does the home visit or do I have to post it to DWP? I have evidence of my physio and I can show him my crutches etc. I still think they could process these claims a lot quicker, It seems a very complicated system, I wonder how many people get overlooked or they get lost in the system.

Good luck for next week Shelly65 and I hope you get a nice big back payment. I will let you know how the phone call goes, I will prob phone on Monday.

Take Care and talk to you soon.

                                                                        Candyxxx.big grin

Hi Candy

Yes i think you have to keep on to them i certainly intend to  i am going to be a thorn in there side  till they sort it .

No Candy you can't give the assessor any evidence on a home visit  mine refused to take the evidence as  he worked from home and it was my personal information , all the assessor will do is note it down but i think it is better for the decision maker to have all documents to hand  so i suggest ringing them and asking for the address to send the additional evidence if you have not had your assessment yet you may have to send it direct to Atos  but i am not sure so better to check with then

I hope it does not take as long as mine did

Good luck Candy xx
