One of the worst things that happened to me with PD was my loss of being able to type with both hands. Writing is a passion as well as essential for my work. Well I bought Dragon simply speaking and after several months of training I have it about 96% accurate. I am dictating this as I speak so to speak :-).
Anybody else use it? it seems to handle my Scottish accent with my pd slur. Its amazing when I visit the hospital and the first question I get asked is have I been drinking!! My reply is always the same no but if they wish to bring me one I will be happy to join them. Typical, cause I am a sweaty sock I must be a alcoholic, hic.
Ops lost track, anyway as I said anybody else use it? I think it should be given free to PD people and wondered if we could do something about that, including the PC to load it on too.
could you please let me and I'm sure other a bit more about Dragon.
I can tell you a little Warlock, but I am way out of date. I'm sure that Scan will get back to you.
My Dragon Speaking Naturally (Versions 5 & 7) came with the software, microphone, instution book & book of stories. I had to "train" it to recogniise my voice by reading it stories. When done, you talk, it types It found my accent difficult. It also took up a lot of memory & slowed down processing. It was also rather expensive.
But I was told (by a forum member) That since about Version 10 these problems have been ironed out. I think the latest is V11.5.
I had great fun with it, & now it seems that the level of improvement is such that I will consider getting the latest
