Forgetter Be Forgotten
My forgetter's getting better,
But my rememberer is broke
To you that may seem funny
But, to me, that is no joke
For when I'm 'here'
If I really should be 'there'
And, when I try to think it through,
I haven't got a prayer!
Oft times I walk into a room,
Say 'what am I here for?'
I wrack my brain,
But all in vain!
A zero, is my score.
At times I put something away
Where it is safe, but, Gee!
The person it is safest from
Is, generally, me!
When shopping I may see someone,
Say 'Hi' and have a chat,
Then, when the person walks away
I ask myself, 'who the hell was that?
Yes, my forgetter's getting better
While my rememberer is broke,
And it's driving me plumb crazy
And that isn't any joke.
I DON'T REMEMBER WHO SENT THIS TO ME?
Thanks for the poem that is just like me, so glad I am not alone it does worry me when I remember.
Mike, those words could have been written by me. Were they?
Can't remember - who asked ????

Hi Turnstile, or was that Turncoat, no I think it was a vegetable - Hi Swede,
We shouldn't laugh at ?? Adversity, or was that Diversity, maybe it was Adversary, although I'd probably have the scars to remind me, it could have been University nothing funny about 3 years of graft, or was there? - oh I don't know?
We shouldn't laugh at, ah, I remember now. " Don't laugh at me 'cause I'm a fool"

Thanks AB and Mike700 for the CLUES (haha).
Just had a listen in-aw, takes you back..
It certanly does take me back
When against my better judgement
I was taken to see the circus
And forced to watch the performance
Of clowns, trapeze artists and seals
None of which to me did appeal
I have a very vague recall
Of Gerry being there to enthrall
On the other hand it may have been
Fred and his Dreamers to be seen
If the real truth were to be told
I've no clue who was there to behold
