Oh Fed, poor you. I do hope today was better for you.
Unfortunately I have to raise my hand and say yes, I do have those vivid dreams sometimes. Touch wood I've not had one for almost a week but they are horrid. Usually end up shouting or screaming the place down, or thrashing and kicking out. My poor hubby often ends up in the spare room.
Funny enough I have a bottle of Lucozade for this evening. Felt a bit under the weather today and always buy Lucozade to cheer myself up as Mum and Dad would always buy me as a kid when ill.
Talk soon buddy, have to go and literally put my feet up.
My name is Barry Davis and I'm from Vancouver Canada. Although I have just joined Parkinson's UK I have been lurking for a year or so.
I always would read up on how Ian,Sheffin,Lexi,Biscuits Smoggy.Teehee and that gang. Went away on holidays got back and sadly they aren't on that thread. They were going to meet up in March and was wondering if they did and how they made out. If you are reading please let me know.
I do enjoy reading all the threads and will continue to so and time to time will throw my 2 cents in. Hope everyone has a safe and wonderful day
Hi J of A just thoguht i'd visit the upper end of the forum. no burned out cars and not been approached to buy something from a friends, friends, uncle. Hi Barry are you allowed in here I thought you were Bard. sorry if heard loads before but how many times do you get chance to say that joke. nice to meet you and hope everyone has a great day. going back to the comforting sound of police sirens.
Hi just saw your post , the gang you mention are posting on social club bit "chatting on the forum" and on "introductions" on the hello to all on the younger side of parkyd" Hope all is well with you and welcome back.
Hi Bard lovely to meet you. I've only been a member for around a month but already feel at home.
Hope you are all well on this bright yet breezy Thursday. Almost forget what day it is. Lordy my memory is getting worse by the minute.
TH and JP thanks for stopping by. I have been reading some of the funny conversations but not getting the time to respond.
HUGE decision to be made about work. Lots on my mind leading up to this and quite anxious. Have to put the brakes on and get off the carousel of life while I work things through in my head. Don't like to appear weak in any way so the situation with my health at work is really bothering me. I am the strong one who am ever available for anyone in need. Not sure I like when the tables are turned.
Received information through the post today from a lovely lady I met at work who is involved with Parkinson's UK. Some useful information and found that an exercise / dance group for PWP is held at the church hall across the road from where I live. Fancy that, I had no idea. So I'm thinking of donning my leotard and leg warmers to join in. Thankfully chairs are used for the duration.
Anyhow that's where I'm up to. Miss chatting regularly but busy bee and will touch base as often as I can.
All the best
J of A x
get your hooves clomping over the floorboards gal, great its nearby. I have heard there has been funding cuts and you get a stool. I do hope the stool is a seat and not the other kind, perhaps best to take your own to be on the safe side. good luck with everything else x
Have posted info about sickness record on other thread disability leave days can be A reasonable adjustments opposed to adding to sickness record, same as reduced workload is or additional breaks . Should be part of assessment. xx
