Is Zaleplon 10 mg Safe for Long-Term Use?

My wife has Parkinsons dementia, some nights she can sleep 12 hours, this tends to be followed by a good day for us both.

Another day / night, at least twice weekly, she can be awake numerous times in the night, very confused, seeing people and animals in the house, wanting to go home, packing bags, getting dressed to go out, waiting for taxis. This is then followed by a day where she really has no idea what she is doing, such as flooding the kitchen, putting plastic containers in the oven, emptying food waste into drawers and cupboards, pouring orange juice over her cooked lunch and drinking a cup of olive oil are the tip of the iceberg.

To try and limit these days, the team from the memory clinic have today changed her Meds from Melatonin to Zopiclone, fingers crossed it will do the trick.
