The need to smile can be difficult.
We must stop our minds from deviating,
To things which could be devastating,
If we can’t, then what appears,
Is the manifestation of all our fears.
What to do, to change this thought,
When in the loop of Parky’s caught,
I know not, of such a fix,
When minds are playing dirty tricks.
Laughter can bring some brief respite,
But not from demons that come at night,
The only way these can be slain,
Is when I play this little game.
I place myself in wondrous dreams,
Where all is well, or so it seems,
I build a wall to slay the fears,
Thus avoiding many tears.
Still the sunrise brings more doubt,
No permanent solution to keep it out,
This is why I have to say,
We need the distraction of P.U.K.
