Isn't there another way, if we all put smily faces everywhere the conversation wouldnt exactly be interesting, or helpful seein that some of us come on here 4 support and advice and seein a smily face instead of a genuine reply kinda pisses me off. if u dont wanna talk jus tell me and i'll chat to other people.
there is another way, click on activity page, scroll down, at the right hand bottom of the page you will see posts in last 12 hours > go - this is set to the sites default has 12 hours but you can change it to last hour, two hours, six hours, 12 hours and 48 hours. This way you can see the posts you last are new since you last logged in.
sorry last line should of read new posts since you last logged in.
I just read all the posts on this thread and the first thing that came to mind were the registration Obligations we all agree to on joining the Forum which states (1.1.3) “Keep your messages civil, tasteful and relevant”. “The purpose of the forum is to provide users with a positive space in which they can share experiences and exchange views”. This thread in my opinion has over stepped that mark. Perhaps sometimes we all post things that are not always immediately understandable to others or maybe it’s just our medication speaking. Having said that, I notice that some members have tried to bring sense to the thread. I personally have always seen the forum as a place where we can share problems, discuss in a civil manner something that’s on our minds, receive advice from other PD sufferers and be a close knit community that care for one another. I’m sorry but this thread does not live up to the expectations of the PDS Forum. Perhaps a moderator should have closed this thread before it left its long and winding road.

I think a lot of folk are getting worked up over a complete non-issue, which isn't really a serious problem to anyone.
I spent 7 years on agonists followed by 2 years on bail, leading up to a Crown Court trial 7 weeks ago for fraud, at which the judge finally set me free. During those 9 years, due to the agonists, I lost my family, friends, house, cars and all assets. I wasted away £400,000, of which I still owe half. I now rent a city centre slum, and am penniless. All that time I had - and still have - crippling PD.
If you've really got nothing more to worry about than a few too many smileys on one or two spurious threads I'd be more than happy to pass you a REAL problem or two.

well i'm off to bed now, it's way past my bedtime and i'd also like to apologise for lowering the tone of the forum and for not using it for the purpose it is intended for.

Lukey:
The laptops with wireless connections were returned to me by the police after their futile case collapsed, having cost the taxpayer thousands of unnecessary pounds.
The holidays took place whilst I was on Cabergoline. This is already in the public domain and has been reported in the press as you well know.
Yes I do have Sky TV. However neither of us smokes, we haven't had an alcoholic drink or been in a pub for over 2 years. Nor any restaurant meal other than a takeaway - not even a MacDonald's. Nor visited any cinema, theatre, show, concert, sports event or fete.
Nice try!

The ruins still smolder, but the main conflagration semms to have died away.
Big R seems to have been "Not Proven", a fine old Scots legal expression designed to allow the police to have another go at the poor criminal. To those fine peoplel who have been offended or indeed outraged by the misuse and carnage inflicted on their forum, I offer my sincere apologies for any part I played in it. To Roz, I merely say, nice one.
And to Lurkey Turkey, a big welcome back.
My advice to anyone tempted to fan the embers of this thread, would be-dont. All the funs gone, any more would get too serious.

i totaly agree wendy 100pc i was not trying to fan the flames not at all i was just trying to kill a long standing row by justfying his self he was opening the door to more attacks on his self as for luckey he is a very celver person who makes a lot of sense when not indulding on personal attacks this forum needs both big r and lukey both bring a lot of good sense in there postings .i just feel its time to move on from something that should be let to rest ....nice to meet you wendy
Agreed jd. I like to think I've contributed quite a bit to the forum as well as received much useful guidance. and so has lukey. exactly why he goes berserk the second he sees my name (and Ali J's) is beyond me. I've offered him a truce countless times, but he's so far down the route of antagonism he can't extricate himself from it.
i agree with ren wendy and jd
