Hi. Sorry here is another sad attempt, but its more fun than crosswords my oh tries to get me to do!
A Nice Cup Of Tea
Here I sit reminiscing with a nice cup of tea
Of days gone by when off to work I,d go
With a hi_dr_hi and a ho_di_ho
Till the tripping and falling
Shaking and quivering
And generally forgetting
Where and what I was doing
Wandering in a daze
Through the buildings maze
Brought complaints and accusations
Tears and frustrations
Never mind have a nice cup of tea.
The day I stood in the middle of the park
Wondering how to get out before it got dark.
The day I saw to my delight and glee
My cousin Karen standing in front of me.
That's not Karen said my mum with nervous laughter
Don't you recognise your only daughter.
Red faces, worried glances, as we calmed down with a cup of tea.
Look at that goldfish, to my son, over there
I can't see it, he says, show me where.
Look there's no water for a fish to be
Never mind mum, have a nice cup of tea.
Lots of questions, moved about, pricked with pins on the toe
Look up and down, show us your writing, walk back and fro.
Parkinsons symptoms I heard them say
But to be sure we need to see inside your head.
So home I went for a nice cup of tea.
Now I've had a datscan to see
If they're right or if I'm to be
Thrown back into uncertainty.
Must not worry, have a nice cup of tea.
A pattern is emerging, that's plain to see
I sit around too much, drinking far too much tea!
