Medication changes

Hi sea angler

As far as I know the Sertraline is to improve my low mood issue, when I first went to the docs I was put on Amitryptyline for nerve pain but was taken off it when I was DX and started Pramipexol .

Ok popple i see the thinking there.

Anyone taking Sertraline with their Parkinson's meds., should be very careful. Not a good combination. My friend is taking her father's neurologist to court, as her father unfortunately died whilst on a mixture of Sertraline and PD drugs. It's taken her 3yrs. to build a case, but she thinks she has enough evidence to win.

Sorry to put the fear of God into people on it, but thought it worth mentioning.

Twinks.

My late girlfriend had an addiction to Gabapentin, it was prescribed for nerve pain, but the more she took the more her body craved it, it was eventually the pill feeding the pill and it ruled and ruined her life, at the end her Gp made a half hearted attempt for her to withdraw from it, it requires specialist help beyond that of a Gp in withdrawl, It may have been a factor in her death, it certainly didn't help her health.

Be careful when taking on medication for you prescription it may be easy to start taking it but very difficult too withdraw a question worth asking before hand.

Hi sea angler& twinks . Firstly sorry for your losses. I will be asking at my next neuro appointment to be taken off Sertraline . As I do not think I require it any more my mood is good lately and feeling positive about enjoying  my good days

stay well both
