Hi Laneystar - Good luck with the tribunal when the date comes, sorry it had to come to this for you, it can be so worrying and stressful. I have just had my assessment and was awarded the enhanced daily living allowance but only the standard mobility allowance. I scored 10 points on the mobility moving around but 0 points for planning and following an unfamiliar journey, but decided not to appeal in case I lost all of it. Hope you get on well with your tribunal and will be thinking of you

Sheila

Ah thanks Sheila

That's what I'm worried about, them taking what bit I've been awarded,so very apprehensive keep stressing over it and think I'll cancel and just manage with what I've got, then have a really bad day and I think it's so unfair to put us through all the waiting and the ordeal, when we are not going to get any better,  anyway probably still be waiting this time next year.l got 4 points mobility think you need 8 for lower rate.

Good Luck and keep with it.

Best wishes

Hi Laney Star - more about the PIP scoring, I got Enhanced Rate for daily living, but was dropped down to the Standard Rate for moving around which I scored 10 points (you need 12 to get through completely) for Enhanced rate. Sly devils scored me 0 points for not being able to plan and follow an unfamiliar journey. But I see now that the government and DWP have done a U turn on the scoring, so if I reapply now I would probably get the Enhanced rate back…even though I still cannot plan or follow an unfamiliar journey. I didn’t contest the first time round because I didn’t want to face a tribunal, now the tables are turned it’s different

Hi Sheila
Yes I read about a change, in the news and the wording of that question leaves a lot to be desired, would you believe I’m still waiting for a date for tribunal since last may must have a massive backlog of cases , when I went to see my specialist on weds last week, they hadn’t told her unaccompanied,so she had ticked yes ,and was mortified when I told her ,and is writing to them supporting my claim , does this new ruling include pd, I find it all so confusing, hopefully it means not having to go to tribunal and having to have stressful assessments, I’ve been stressed out about this for months and the waiting unbearable hopefully it will be sorted ,one less worry . Laney

Hi Sheila
Just got date for tribunal :persevere::disappointed_relieved:so dreading it I’m stressing already it’s in three weeks, oh help , can feel panic setting in already hate anything stressful, can only hope for good result but won’t hold my breath.laney

Hi Laney_star, hopefully it will be alright for you, try not to stress I know it’s easier said than done, if you can manage without meds for a day (or two) they will see you at your worst. I know you probably won’t like to, but these guys (for want of a better name!) have to be played back by there own tricks!

I really wish you well, will be thinking of you - Sheila :hugs:

Ah thanks Sheila,
Yes that’s the trouble assessor doesn’t see you at your worst ,god seen tribunal on back of the envelope and everything drained away,I couldn’t hardly open the envelope,so god knows what IL be like on the day. Just dreading it :disappointed_relieved: Laney x

Is there any news on this? Was PIP awarded? I am still on DLA but expect they will want me to apply for PIP soon. I would apply for it, but just don’t want to have to go through yet another Tribunal. I know I always win at Tribunal, but its a very draining and wearisome exercise and going months, maybe years without income does not appeal. Even though they end up paying all the backlog.

Hi Laney_star, do you still frequent the Forum? It would be nice to hear from you to see how you are keeping, and if you were successful with your tribunal, I didn’t take my dispute any further I hadn’t got the inclination and couldn’t make the effort.
