My mum has recently been admitted to hospital because of a bad fall whereby she couldn’t get up off of the floor. Previously she has always managed to do this. She has had Parkinson’s for nearly 20 years now.
I believe she is approaching the advanced stage and I was wondering what sorts of things we might expect at this point from people who live through it (and people who help suffers)

Unfortunately, loss of balance and falling affects many people with Parkinson’s and the problem tends to increase over time.
