After holiday reactions.

I have been diagnosed with Parkinson’s for almost 6 years. We have just got home from a fortnights holiday in France where I struggled to cope with the heat but had a very good time. When we got home we had all the washing and ironing to do as usual but also had to prepare for visitors coming Tuesday to today Thursday. It has been such a struggle to cope with everything going on I feel like a zombie, not sleeping well, dreaming. I find it hard to maintain conversation all the time when we have visitors and just suggested we go back to France again. I am 71, is this Parkinson’s related or am I just getting old??

Hi @Georgiegirl,

Nice to hear from you.

I’m glad to hear that you has a good time in France. Unfortunately, sleep and night-time problems are common in Parkinson’s. They can affect you at any stage of the condition and may leave you feeling tired and drowsy during the day - so you’re definitely not alone on this. If you need some tips on how to get better sleep, you should check out the ‘sleep’ section on our website here - https://www.parkinsons.org.uk/information-and-support/sleep.
