Evening everyone. Saw my neuro today and asked why he still had me taking the ropinirole as well as the l dopa.
The explanation was that the L dopa is subject to fluctuations between doses where as the ropinirole has a more constant effect contributing stability and smoothing out the peaks and troughs of the l dopa.
Also I have no serious signs of the DA side effects and he is trying not to increase the l dopa too quickly in view of its limited life span and my age (56) sort of saving a bit for later.approach.
Once more into the breach then....
