I’ve posted this before but am reposting in case there are any new members that use British Sign Language to communicate.
I’m looking for support for someone from the deaf community who uses sign language and who might be interested in using FaceTime and/or Skype sessions for mutual support.
Hi @Derrick, you did nothing wrong. I tagged the user who posted the original message to increase the likelihood that they may see your message. We can see that @roz1 has not logged in since 2020, so they may not be using the forum these days.
We have information regarding contacting our nurses that includes text relay on our website: Talk to us | Parkinson's UK
They may be in a position to recommend services they know about to your wife. You may also reach our nurses via email on [email protected].
Sending our warmest wishes

We are in regular contact with our local Parkinson’s Nurses and we, and they, have attempted to find other BSL users who have been diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease because there must be some. So far however we’ve had no success. Deafness in itself, apart from the added complication of Parkinson’s, can be very isolating and it would be enormously beneficial for my wife if she could find someone facing the same situations, for mutual support. Any guidance would be appreciated.
