Apps for exercises?

Does anyone use an app for exercises? Finding them too easy to forget to do and I wondered if there’s a good app out there that reminds you and coaches through some exercises? Specifically for rigidness and tremor, and need to open the back up/stop the stooping over
Thanks in advance!

Hi beachpebble9, we have some recommendations over on our tech guide which you might want to look into: techguide.parkinsons.org.uk

And we also have a dedicated space on our website which may also be a useful read: Apps, devices and technology for people with Parkinson's | Parkinson's UK

Best wishes

Thanks, that’s helpful. Hopefully someone might add some personal experience too!

Hi beachpebble9. This is my first day as a member of the forum but thought my experience might help. I found that without some incentive it was difficult to maintain exercise so I signed up with a trainer for regular weekly sessions. I now find I feel obligated to attend although not all local sports centres offer this. My GP had a program with my local sports centre to provide discounted membership as well. And I have also found that pilates exercises are great at helping with muscle rigidity and stooping. Hope you get some success.

Welcome to the forum, jameslyn and thank you for sharing your insight and advice.

We hope that you also find support through this community.

Take care,
The Parkinson’s UK Moderation Team

Thanks for that, I hadn’t thought of a trainer. Something else to look at! Glad it’s working for you

I’ve tried a few apps that work well, like Parkinson’s UK’s own recommendations listed here. They cover exercise, reminders, and daily tracking very helpful for staying consistent.
