Does anyone have any experience of whether vitamin B12 and Folic Acid help Parkinsons?
Hello, CliveC, my husband was found to be slightly B12 deficient whilst in hospital with a UTi. The hospital dr prescribed B12 in tablet form and he now has them on regular prescription. It’s always difficult to ascertain if a particular med improves a condition but he does seem to have a little more energy since taking it. Whether it’s a placebo effect or not I don’t know, but every little helps! Can’t comment on folic acid but your PD nurse should be able to advise I expect. Regards Jean
Thank you that is very helpful.
Clive
Hi Jean,
I do have a Neurobian injection about once every 3 months.
It comprises B1, B6 & B12 and does increase my energy levels and allows me to, basically, ‘do more’.
