My GP started me on those for restless legs around 2 years ago but I stopped taking after a few months as they gave me mood swings and didn’t work

Hello @Artgeek , we understand that seeing this in the news may cause concern.

Impulsive and compulsive behaviours are a possible side effect of some Parkinson’s drugs. It’s important to remember that not everyone who takes Parkinson’s medication will experience impulsive and compulsive behaviours. These side effects shouldn’t put you off taking your medication. There are also ways to help control these symptoms.

You can read more information and support for impulsive and compulsive behaviours on our website: Impulsive and compulsive behaviours in Parkinson's | Parkinson's UK

We’re also here if you’d like to discuss this further or ask any questions. You can call our free, confidential helpline and our trained advisers can offer support and advice and talk through how you’re feeling: 0808 800 0303. We are open Monday to Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturday 10 am to 1 pm.

Take care :blue_heart:
