Best Home Air Purifier- Doctor advice Me

Hello everyone!

During my recent appointment, my doctor mentioned that indoor air quality can affect sleep and breathing comfort. Because I have been experiencing congestion and disturbed sleep alongside my Parkinson’s, they suggested improving the air at home. They explained that dust, allergens, and indoor pollution can add unnecessary strain on the body.

Living with Parkinson’s, even small issues like poor sleep or breathing discomfort can feel more significant and harder to manage. Opening windows isn’t always practical due to traffic fumes or weather conditions. My doctor therefore recommended using an air purifier, especially in the bedroom, to help improve overall comfort and rest while managing Parkinson’s.

So I decide to get air purifier for home as soon as possible. For this purpose I read expert reviews from trusted sources like Consumer Reports, Wirecutter, and Healthline, two models consistently stand out as top recommendations:

PuroAir 240 HEPA Air Purifier for Home

Blueair Blue Pure 211i Air Purifier for Home

I am having trouble deciding which one would best suit my needs. I want a best quality air purifier for home. So which one would you recommend, the PuroAir 240 or the Blueair Blue Pure 211i? Any advice or personal experience would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

We use Levoit Air Purifiers in the house. 1 Core 300s and 2 Vital 100s, the s stands for smart as they connect to an app (you don’t have to) and show you the quality of air. They do non s versions if you don’t want that feature at all.

filters sound expensive on paper but I get at least 7 months from one which I don’t think is too bad, 3rd party filters save money and work just as good.

Mine are quiet not really noticeable unless it kicks in to high (I have it set to auto) and then you hear the fan but that really only happens when cooking bacon or drilling a hole in the wall.
