Breathing problems with Parkinsons

Hello. I care for my elderly father who has increasingly been experiencing difficulty breathing - this happens once or twice each day, lasting around 5 to 10 minutes. In addition he gets this every night which leads him to get up in the very early hours and sit in a chair upright. X Rays have not identified any physical lung problems. Are there any mechanical aids that might help with his shortness of breath? Thanks any advice.
Good Morning Chuky,

You may see if you can get an O/T to visit him and they have various items that may help, for example a back rest for his bed which will ease is breathing or the Doctor may suggest an inhaler or he may have angina other than that he could use a tri pillow which could support him better (I think that is what it is called)
Good luck
best wishes vivian
