Burning legs and night sweats

Has anyone experienced heavy and burning legs. This sensation seems to increasing as time goes on, and makes walking and standing very difficult. I also have night sweats which cause me to waken up and then have difficulty in going. back to sleep. I have spoken to both my GP and my PD Consultant but they seem to be puzzled as to the cause of this problem. I would appreciate any information on this

Possibly B12 deficiency?

Hi Bella14,

A warm welcome to the forum.

I thought youā€™d be interested to know that we have a ā€˜Sleepā€™ section on the Parkinsonā€™s website which explores all the sleep related issues that people with Parkinsonā€™s may experience. Thereā€™s a lot of information and advice which you may find very useful and we also have a helpline service where you can speak to a Parkinsonā€™s specialist regarding the heavy and burning sensations in your leg. You can reach them on 0808 800 0303.

Do let us know how you get on.

Many thanks,
Reah

I experience the same symptoms. Burning and pins and needles in both legs. Heavy night sweats. Did you find any solutions?

Up to 55% of Parkinsonā€™s sufferers also have peripheral neuropathy. I have similar symptoms & I have it successfully treated with Amitriptyline.

Best wishes
