Caring for babies with PD tremor

Has anyone got experience or tips for looking after newborn babies with quite a severe PD tremor? Or know where I can get help for my husband so he can help care for our baby? Currently not able to dress/change nappy and baby seems frustrated when he holds him too

Hi beachpebbles9, thank you for your post and we’re so sorry to hear that your husband is struggling.

We hope that others may be able to share their experiences with you, but we wanted to let you know that you’re not alone and our helpline is always available if you need it.

When you call, we can put you in touch with one of our Parkinson’s nurses who can offer their advice and guidance. It’s free and totally confidential: 0808 800 0303.

It’s really important to look after yourself as well, especially as a new mum who is also caring for someone living with Parkinson’s. We’re here to help you find the support you need, and there is lots of information on our website too: Supporting someone with Parkinson's | Parkinson's UK

Sending all our love,

The Parkinson’s UK Moderation Team

Hi beachpebble
Have a look at the beech band which helps with tremors and speech problems , videos on YouTube.

Best wishes

Thank you they look great! I’ll order one to try when they’re available.
