Hi, im from the land downunder & have a neuro appointment soon. I just put my generator on charge & it say my battery is coming to an end. My question is does anyone know the recovery time after replacement surgery? After my initial dbs proceedure i remember not being able to weight bear on my arm etc for quite a few weeks… cheers
Hello Dookie - we’d definitely raise this with your healthcare provider as soon as you can. Hopefully we have some forum members that can offer some advice in the meantime, but definitely do speak to your GP.
I’ve had three battery changes two of them were five yr battery, then i had 20yrs rechargeable think might be 25yr had general for operation went home same day cut was in exact place of scre did not feel a thing the only thing is when you come round your shaking abit untill you parkinsons nurse switches you back on .This was the only uncomfortable bit, i could have stayed overnight but felt fine so travelled back home.
Excellent - thank you so much - im waiting to hear from nuero- surgeon for surgery date - the abbott rechargable battery is in our TGA for approval so its going to be touch n go if the rechargable has approval (fingers crossed).
