I know it has been talked about before but having DBS on 8 January and I am scared. Having brain but done first then staying in hospital for a week so they can run tests and then having battery put in, anyone else has it done like that before? I am NOT looking forward to it but realise the time has come to have DBS. Scared!
My experience has been really rather good. I’ve just had stimulator inserted. I had mine fitted In Southmead Hospital and they’ve done everything in one go. 5 hours under general and get switched on in January. I stayed in for 2nights. I am very pleased to be recovering from the procedure at home. Any questions you may have I’m happy to answer - albeit the procedure seems to be getting carried out differently x
Can I ask were you awake when they fitted the cage to your head?
