Hello, I was diagnosed in 2016 and although I joined Parkinson’s UK several years ago, I am new to the Forum. I am a 63 year old married man, still active and drive a car. Reading through topics within the Forum, I can see issues that have affected me over the years. I could write about my medication, effects, exercise etc, but what has been important to me is the people who support me. My consultant fully engages with me and the Parkinson’s nurses are brilliant. I joined the local Dance for Parkinson’s several years ago, which has been a great help and I belong to the local Support Group, which has resumed after a period due to Covid. Although I have to use the Internet, I belong to PD Warrior Tribe 365, based in Australia, which provides a whole host of exercise and information. On a final, but important note, I have a loving and very supportive wife.
