The pharmacy I use say they’re having problems getting one of my PD medications - Ropinerole.
I order it three weeks before I’m due to run out. Last time (about 8 weeks ago) they didn’t get my meds until 4 days before I would have run out. I’m in a similar situation now and they’re talking about ‘emergency supplies’ if they can’t get their standard stock by Sunday when I use my last tablets.
They say it’s everywhere that has this problem right now, not just them. But is anyone else on here having similar difficulties?
Hi yeehaajc, thanks for reaching out for support.
We do have information regarding medication shortages on our website here.
We’re aware that Ropinirole 0.5mg film-coated tablets will experience supply problems until early June 2025. There is more information on our website but if you can, please reach out to your healthcare professional as they may be able to recommend alternatives for you.

Thanks. I’m on 2mg tablets, x2 twice daily. The pharmacy said they could switch me to 4mg but they’re in short supply too. It’s good to know that the shortage is predicted to resolve in the near future.
