Hi, im new to this forum:)
My dad has had Parkinson’s for over 10 years now and atm things are really really tough.
Definitely over the last few weeks, he has recently started the Donepezil/placebo trial
Im wondering if anyone on here is taking part in the same thing and how your feeling about it.
I understand your not suppose to see any effect ( if you have been given the real tablet that is) for at least a month but it always makes you think has changes happen because of this tablet.
Many thanks.
Hi Samantha,
We just wanted to welcome you to our community forum, and make sure you’re aware of the tools we offer here. In addition to our lovely members who are likely to share their experiences and thoughts around this trial, we found some material on our website that may be of value to you: COBALT: Trial of a combination of 2 drugs as a Parkinson’s dementia treatment | Parkinson's UK. We’d also advise searching the terms, as this will lead you to archived forum discussions on the subject. Added to this, we have a free and confidential helpline staffed with advisors who have their own wealth of resources to offer, even if all you’re seeking is a friendly ear. You can reach them on 0808 800 0303.
We hope this helps, and with our warmest welcome,
Jason
