I think that this is standard for PWP. I am on my 2nd 3 year licence, having renewed last year.
Hi Phil61, we have lots of information on driving on our website here which we hope you will find useful: Driving and Parkinson's | Parkinson's UK
It includes information on how your medication can affect your driving, but having Parkinson’s does not necessarily mean you need to stop driving. We’d recommend reading up on this. If you have any questions, we have a helpline where we can put you in touch with one of our Parkinson’s nurses who can offer their advice and guidance. It’s free to call and totally confidential: 0808 800 0303.
We hope this is helpful.

Hi how did you renew please singing gardener
I got a letter through the post explaining how to apply for the renewal online, which I then did. I then got another letter to say that they had written to my consultant and received a new licence shortly afterwards. Fortunately my current consultant is very good at responding to these requests unlike the previous one!
Thank you Steve I’m recently diagnosed and 64
I’ve been on the Medical Licence for just over ten years. My advice would be to start the process as early as possible, allowing for the fact that they won’t accept renewals until you have less than ninety days on your existing licence. They can be a bit slow sometimes.
Also, apply for a blue badge so you can access disabled parking. Councils vary in how willing they are to give them out, but the fact that you have a medical licence will check a few boxes on their forms. Parkinson’s is a curse of a disease; you might as well get all the assistance that is available.
Hi Daft_Ideas, welcome to our forum and thank you for sharing your advice and experience with the group.
We hope that you find the support here helpful too.
Take care,

Thank you daft sound advice trying to get a blue badge is just as hard as trying to get pips
Hi
It’s understandable to be concerned about driving with Parkinson’s, as the condition can impact reaction times and motor skills. It’s important to talk to your doctor, who can assess whether it’s safe for you to continue driving.
