Drug switching on and off symptoms

I was wondering if anyone here knows the answer to this question.

Most of us are familiar with switching on and off of the drugs we take.

When my Sinemet wears off I feel shaky like I’ve had too much coffee and get an ache in my lower abdomen like I have an upset stomach. (Take my drugs and 30/45 mins later I’m fine or a couple of hours)

But my question is. Are these symptoms I get my Parkinson’s returning OR ARE THEY withdrawal symptoms from the drugs?

Anyone know?

I think it’s a bit of both, but more the Parkinson’s returning. I am currently trying a Neupro patch (dopamine agonist) in addition to my oral sinemet to try and smooth out the on/off symptoms. Only on day 2 but feel fairly hopeful the patch may help.
