know where your coming from my legs have given up on me ,getting about 2 -3 hrs on time ,dbs controlling shakes,tremors complete success ,but ive been taking the highest dosage of sinemet makes no difference even tried madopar no joy .i was ok 14 months now this where does it stop !

Gus you would benefit from Ddopa me thinks, I was in exactly the same situation, none of my drugs were working, so I had no choice really ,it made a massive difference to my life I could walk and talk at the same time stand upright write a letter and though it seems like it is not keeping up with the pace of dpmeine cell loss, it is possible to increase the dosage which I have done and things have stabilised for how so my mindset has much improved, but for how long,well its usually its about about 4 to 8 weeks as opposed to 18 to40 weeks before intervention i necessary, the rate of loss of effectiveness is different for all but it certainly worked for me'

Hello wise one, I have been using my head ?? as a counterbalance for some time now, I find the trick works when getting dressed or undressed as ny posture goes into stoop mode when this form of activity is attempted its so frustrating when my posture control bu@@??s up as everything I do is worsened %110 so I put 2plus 2 together and found that if I keep upright when problems occur I can function ,the Duodopa is stil working though not as effective and the shutdowns are horrific and worse they are unpredictable and no warning signs, I can be chatting away no probs then bang end of,, well anything I was attempting really, a quick stab at the boost button and 1/2 hr later Im up to speed again but and its A BIG BUT I am only allowed 3 booosts per day in a emergency per day, 4 but nearly every day its a emergency now my friend so as I inject more gel I am becoming tolerant of my drug and then I need more for the same effect and so on and so on, oh what fun we have.
