Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to protective gear (esp for the back) which would help protect my OH when he falls. He is in the pipeline for a helmet, and wears protective elbow pads - and I have just bought him a Forcefield Sports jacket which seemed perfect to me - but he said it was too tight/hot to wear - so it is having to be returned.

Have now invested in some “ snow pants” and body armour to protect butt, hips, back and shoulders. Seems to be working. If anyone would like to know makes etc just drop me a line. It took a long time to track them down but now I know!
Falling is so bad and seems unpreventable unless I am to be glued to my OH’s side. Am not sure why protective clothing, other than helmets, is not recommended and even supplied by the NHS
