Fast progression

Hi all
My 56 yr old partner has recently been diagnosed with PD after left arm rigid and not swinging for 9 months. Awaiting dat scan, then referral to nurse so no meds at moment. Over the past month his left leg has become weak and is stiffening and now his foot is slowing, plus face is numbing, and beginning facial masking . My question is does this seems really quick progression?

I’m 56 and my progression seems fast as well. The letter I got from Hospital on Monday talks about me having an MRI done to see if its Multiple System Atrophy (MSA). Of course all cases can be different, maybe ring the helpline and ask them what they think

There’s quite a range in how symptoms occur and how fast. If he’s getting symptommatic then talk to the Pd nurse about trialing meds before the DAT scan.

I believe if he is stressed out his symptoms would be worse I know mine were.
I researched YouTube and found a lot of information on topics like red light therapy aka photobiomodulation, intermittent fasting and keto, exercises and found these therapies very helpful and changed my focus, all is not lost. Podcast from PD population is also interesting, the change of mindset is key
