Feeling lost & alone :(

Hello Busýizzy54
I can only imagine how you are feeling tonight as your path takes an unexpected turn and yet another chapter to understand. you are of course always welcome on the forum but I wanted to make sure you were aware of the MSA trust for when or if you wish to look them up. I am sure I’m not alone in sending a virtual hug saying you’re in my thoughts and remember I and all the forum will continue to give whatever support we can.

PS your thanks are appreciated but not necessary, we all know and understand. That’s enough.

Thank you, it’s to be positive in certain situations! One of these was a visit to my GP this week! I was advised to see him following receiving a letter from my neurologist advising about the MSA & what medication will be needed to be prescribed by them.

It was 10 mins I won’t forget, he read the letter and then said ‘ I don’t know why they send you a copy, so misleading ‘probable’ might mean you don’t have anything apart from the symptoms the medication is for… I asked him to explain about pyramidal signs and the effect on MSA. He told me not to worry about about it just live your life and wait and see what happens and definitely not Google! I then mentioned ongoing shoulder pain was really bothersome, just take pain killers it will be unrelated to anything else! I left feeling like I was a hypochondriac!

Hello Busyizzy54
Just wondered how you are doing a couple of months on from your diagnosis. I’m not even sure you will see this, but in case you do wanted you to know you’ve not been forgotten and I hope you are doing OK.

Hi Tot
Would love to say life is good but just moved house and struggling just a little bit! :worried:. A new Doctor who just seemed to think I have a virus and made me feel like I was a hypochondriac. Still waiting for my new specialist appt to come through, was referred in October but nothing yet.
With a mix of the move, being February ( my worst SAD month for me just making everything that little bit harder. Xx

Hello Busyizzy54
I am sorry to hear things aren’t going a little smoother for you by now. Hang on in there a house move is widely recognised as being a major stress for many and you are certainly not alone in finding February a difficult month; however you are now in your new house, February will pass and hopefully you are now moving steadily up the list and your specialist appointment will not take too much longer. I sincerely hope life won’t seem such a struggle then.
Take care
