So, the past few weeks I’ve been experiencing something strange.
A lot of the time when it’s time to take my meds, I actually feel fine, and dare I say , normal. However when I take my meds (2 x 25/100mg co-careldopa) at the required time and virtually on the hour, I sometimes, like today, experience a kind of ‘off’ feeling. I freeze but can still move around, albeit stiff, especially in the back and shoulders which feels like a painful cramp. It can last an hour or so and tends to ease if I eat a snack or meal.
I have made some lifestyle changes recently as far as diet goes. I’m eating a healthy high fibre diet which for the most part is helping with the dreaded occasional bouts of constipation.
Does anyone share this experience or knows what causes it?
Cheers

Hello Dusty68 - our forum members may be able to offer some peer to peer advice, however we would recommend definitely speaking to your GP about this also. All the best
Hi Dusty.
I don’t know the cause, but we’ve found with my dad, and were also advised by his Parkinson’s nurse, that it’s best to have a snack, even if just a banana or biscuit, when taking his Parkinson’s meds.
Best wishes
SR, Interesting. I do find it goes off and meds kick in better if I eat something. Against everything we’re told . I’ll make a point of doing that.
Cheers
