I just thought I’d share developments with the statement that I helped to create (with NHS staff and a representative from PUK) that is being rolled out to all NHS hospitals to help ensure that when you go to hospital they know how to help you. It is a useful tool for hospital staff to use to support them to support you.
Yesterday I was at a Service User and Carers Group that Surrey University run to help them shape the Nursing Degree they run there…I shared the document with them, so hopefully will help inform new nurses what PD is all about and the range of issues that someone with PD may have when attending hospital or being an inpatient.
