My mum has been taking Cocaraldopa and Sinemet slow release for many years now. She has gone through 3 major surgeries, in 3 different hospitals and experienced hallucinations. I was told by nurses that it was due to the drugs in her system, and in some cases made to feel embarrassed by her actions. It wasn't until she had a small stroke last week and was kept in hospital to wait for an MRI, that I became aware of the side effects of these Parkinson drugs. I was wondering if anyone has experienced this lack of understanding in hospitals.
