My husband has developed a weakness in both hands ( he only has a small tremor) and is unable to pull up his pants after a visit to the loo. We are doing hand exercises, but is this common in Parkinsons

I too get some hand weakness, it’s not all the time but inanimate objects have been known to take on a life of their own and jump out of my hands!
In answer to your particular problem this may be worth a try. Sew two small loops of tape to the waistband of pants into which your husband can put his thumbs and/or fingers to pull up. It may be easier than trying to hold the clothing in his hands. If you try it would be interested to hear how you get on.
