Has Anyone Found Ways to Manage the Daily Fatigue and Low Energy?

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone else struggles with feeling extremely tired during the day, even after getting enough rest? I understand that Parkinson’s affects everyone differently, but lately I’ve noticed that fatigue can make simple daily tasks feel much harder. Some days I feel motivated in the morning, but my energy drops quickly and it becomes difficult to stay active.

I’m interested to know what has helped others manage this. Have you found any changes in your daily routine, exercise habits, sleep patterns, or activities that make a noticeable difference?

Also, do you find that your energy levels change depending on medication timing or the time of day? Would really appreciate hearing about your experiences and any tips that have helped you cope better.Thanks.

Fatigue has probably been one of the hardest symptoms for me to deal with. People often think it’s just feeling a bit sleepy, but it’s so much more than that. Some days it can come on very suddenly and make even simple tasks feel overwhelming.

I’ve found that pacing myself helps more than trying to push through it. If I know I’ve got something planned, I try not to overdo things earlier in the day. A short walk or some gentle exercise seems to help on good days, but I also listen to my body when it tells me to slow down.

My energy definitely isn’t the same throughout the day either—I tend to be at my best in the morning and fade as the afternoon goes on. You’re certainly not alone in feeling this way, and I hope some of the other members can share what’s worked for them too. Wishing you all the best.

Hi @zah12 thank you for sharing this. Fatigue is so much more than feeling tired, and the way it can come on suddenly or make simple tasks feel overwhelming is something many people with Parkinson’s talk about. Pacing yourself and listening to your body, just as you’ve said, can make a real difference.

You’re definitely not alone in this, and it’s really helpful for others to hear what’s worked for you. Wishing you all the best :blue_heart:
