Help and any advice please

A bit of a desperate plea really but I don’t know what to do for the best. My mother in law was diagnosed a year go following a private diagnosis. This followed a period of about a year of mild symptons that started after my father in law died.

She was told by the private consultant that it was very early stages and that with the right medication she would return to a fairly “normal” existence. She was happy and positive with the plan. Since then she has been prescribed medication and was getting better but still seemed very low/depressed. About 5 months ago she started feeling constantly nauseous and lost confidence/strength to go out. She desperately misses the grand children but doesn’t feel well enough for us to visit (not far away so would only be a cup of tea). She is going back to bed most days and hasn’t let the house apart from a doctors appointments for 5 months. The GP have sent her for various test (gastro, cardio, bloods) and nothing so far. they have put her on some new medication to help with the nausea but its not helping and its been 2 weeks now. My problem is that she lives with my Brother in Law (he has never moved out) so it is my in laws family home. He is very much “looking after her” but nothing seems to be getting any better. My mother in law is always close to tears when i do see her and he just keeps saying “Well we have done all the things we are supposed to do and the GP has told us that this is just how it is with Parkinson’s” I am fairly medically minded (he is not) and I am trying to encourage them to ask for more help/ follow up as I truly believe she shouldn’t be feeling like this for such a long period of time with no real help or plan. My BIL works so my MIL is home alone most of the day. I genuinely believe that my Brother in law is doing what he things is best, but I am worrying that she is suffering. Does anyone have any advice/ tips/ thoughts regarding the nausea and how I can subtly improve her general quality of life? or advice on the best way forward with the GP?

Thank you!
