Hi can you claim for carers allowance if you work full time
You have to spend at least 35 hours per week caring for someone, and you can’t earn more than £128 per week after tax and NI are deducted
Why are you penalised if you work and try to look after your husband so basically if you are on benefits or on a low paid job you can claim it. I work but don’t earn loads.

I see you’ve already received a response from Peaches; however, I just thought I’d chime in to advise you to speak to our helpline/advisers to get specific advice on what they can access. The advisers will be able to do a proper benefit calculation which would take into account everything from council tax to carers allowance etc.
