Oh my ! gotta deal with it, yes do the best you can , squeeze as many happy days and challenges into your life as you can. I agree but never ever doubt the power of a cyber hug, a kind word cos none of us least of all me are perfect. I am happy to admit as positive as I am , I need a bit of support now and then. I remain unashamed of that fact, I am also understanding about the fact that other humans need a bit if support too. As positive as I am, there are of course days when I'm not so positive. I go with that and have a duvet day. A hug does wonders tho.
Hi there. ...as a wife of a PD husband...I would love someone to give me a hug somedays....people seem to forget that PD affects us other halves too in a different way. I find people very self centred and too busy to care .......its easier to ignore PD....so I am sending you all massive hugs today...Xx

Divine R , love the idea of a duvet day, I sometimes throw a pity party where its all about me. Its booked for 9pm tonight , I am going to sit in my cosy pj's, have a glass or two of fleurie, some crusty bread and as many cheeses as will fit onto my plate. I will watch the last episode of unforgotton, no sign of a healthy diet today but I deserve a treat, I'm tired . I am trying not to recall the comments of an ex friend, when I met her for a coffee. I ordered some chocolate cake I called it a treat and invited her to have a slice. My attractive slim ex friend with the fake boobs looked me up and down and replied "why don't you treat yourself to having a good body, instead "" I think I replied something similiar to "why don't you fudge brownie off" never seen her since.

I try to check on my husband regularly as I know he's trying to cope bravely on his own. It's hard I know. I think sometimes people just don't know what to say, so if you look like your well, they don't think you're suffering.

As far as eating what you fancy is concerned I've found that all of this shaking, fidgeting etc whilst obviously unwelcome, does burn calories! Thus a bad day = eat more cake! I did try to convince my wife that all of the fruit in a lardy cake must surely count as one of my five a day...... She remains unconvinced!

Yes love that bad day = cake yum! yum! dried fruit sultanas etc got to be one of your 5 a day. carrot cake is also good. lardy cake plus carrot cake = 1 serving of vegetables and 1 serving of fruit.

Hi Babesbrown - you mention about having a get together and wondering if a meeting can be arranged in Bath, i'm sure there would be lots on the site would make the effort to meet up. Bath is a lovely place, it's a long time since I was there, all you have to do to get the ball rolling is find a reasonably priced hotel, it must have a bar, be near to town or on bus route or near to park and ride, tell us on forum where it is and leave everyone to sort themselves out from there.

Tee Hee have you been at the Gin again, I love hugs and get them from my daughters and my grandaughter but we are at shaking hands stage with my four grandsons oh how I miss hugs, they dont cost anything (HE CAN PLAY THAT OLD GUITAR LIKE ANYTHING) who sang those words like anything and as part of which group and they give so much joy (hugs, ) well so do the group singer of those words, oh Im not really grumpy well not much any way perhaps its the lack of hugs from beloved I have to ask or i dont get we also sleep in separate rooms as the hideous dreams often make me punch and kick and I have hurt her a few times, also I know she will never forgive or forget my behavior when gripped by OCB hypersexuality it makes me feel so ashamed so no hugs then.
