Hi Simba,
We saw this was your first post and wanted to welcome you to our lovely community of people with Parkinson’s, their families, and carers. Please have a look at the different categories and you’ll find discussions on a range of subjects, including art, poetry, humor, photography, exercise tips, and more. There is truly a wealth of helpful content and we hope you’ll gain some satisfaction as you get to know our kind, thoughtful, and experience-rich community.
We would suggest reaching out to our free and confidential helpline, for the many services they offer, and as they have helped loads of people with medication questions, financial assistance, and finding more immediate medical support when you need it. They are on 0808 800 0303 and are happy to speak with you as you like. As you’re sure to hear from the community, they can contribute greatly to making things less scary.
Again, welcome to the community, please feel comfortable expressing yourself honestly, and remember you’re not in this Parkinson’s experience alone.
With our best wishes,
Jason

Hi Sim welcome to our forum please post as often as you like as there are quite a few members in the same boat eg new comers Meds?? make your nurse your best friend, she/he will guide you though difficult times, jason.mod has given you good advice if you need help any time then just contact Parkinson’s UK.
Thank you, It has taken along while to accept that I have Parkinsons and sometimes I still think it will just go away.
I have applied for pip but missed a call from them today. Life has to go on . I have an amazing Wife and Family giving so much support. I worry that she does not get enough support back. Anyway I will keep on looking on the forum and main site.
Sim
Hello Simba,
You are in the right place, lots of good advise. I would try contacting your neurologist and tell them about the medication if not effective, others are correct in saying that the PD nurse is very helpful, I would also recommend calling PUK they have medical experience on this condition and assist. On a separate note I would recommend staying active, if possible join a local group that does activities that help.
