Hi

Hi. I'm new to this so please bear with me. My dad has advanced pd and its become very hard to come to terms with some of the suffering I see both him and my mum going through. Hoping it will help to talk to others who can relate to what I'm going through.
Welcome to the forum, Isee73!

I think it is often more difficult emotionally to watch a loved one suffer an illness than to suffer it oneself. I know my sister shed more tears than I did when I was first diagnosed. It must be extremely hard to watch your parents go through things you really cannot help to lessen.

But on the forum you will find lots of other family members in the same situation, and you may get some ideas for dealing with the everyday difficulties you are bound to encounter. The "Carers, friends, and family" section is especially good and will give you more valuable replies than this welcome post of mine.

Wishing you the best!
Hi isee, I'm sorry to hear about your Dad, it's a very hard thing to deal with I know. Pop over to the Carers forum for support:wink:
