Hi I used to post on the old forum but have forgotten my details. I have been diagnosed eight years and have come back to the forum because i'm looking for some advice as I have been offered DBS and really don't know whether to go ahead or not!
hi there parksy, im 42yr had pd since i was 34yr had dbs at frenchay hospital 2yrs ago, it has changed my life for the better used to have bad tremors ,shaking & dsyskinsia had trouble eating food ,drinking ,sleeping.only 5% of people are acceptable for dbs ,so if you get the chance & pass the assesments go for it ! takes a little while to get the right tuning,program right,but once your there its great.
