Is there anyone that has tried or using CBD oil?

Hi is there anyone that has tried or using CBD oil? If so? Have you benefitted from it?

Hi @J2,

I’m sorry to see no one has stopped by yet to offer their insights on CBD oil. We certainly do have a number of community members who have at one point or another tried it.

Some continue to use it, as they do find it beneficial, while others have stopped after noticing little or no added benefit. As with many medications and supplements, everyone’s experience is different - so you may not notice a change or you might find it helpful.

We do have some threads on the subject that you can read through if you’re interested in learning more about the experiences of others with CBD oil. There are also a number of blog posts you can check out as well.

Outside of reading, I would also recommend reaching out to one of our advisers on 0808 800 0303 with any questions or concerns you may have about using CBD oil. They may also be able to provide you with some additional resources on the subject. Your GP, specialist, or Parkinson’s nurse would also be a good person to inquire with.

I hope this helps!

Best wishes,
Joy

Hi, I have tried CBD (as it was recommended to me) but sadly to no help of my symptoms so gave up and agreed with my Neurplogist to start Dopamine Agonist Ropinirole (8mg) once a day.

Morning j2,

Yes I take cbd oil and I think it’s worth a try. I was hoping it might help my anxiety. I’m still anxious at times but who knows I could be worse without it! What it does help with is the muscle pain I have on my right arm and leg and the awful leg fidgeting I suffer from especially at night time. It has a calming effect and there are no nasty side affects. It is quite expensive but I only take it twice a day at the moment 500:strength in the morning and 1000 at night. If I introduce you it’s £10 off and at present it’s also reduced to £24.99 for a bottle that lasts about 3 weeks. Good luck anything is worth a try isn’t it! Best wishes Shirley

hi J2,
It was recommended to me by my consultant. I started off on 10mg casual, but increased it to 20mg once a day in the morning. My wife has noticed I am a lot calmer than I used to be. Used to get really pi**ed off with people and my PD situation. I was diagnosed Feb last year so I think I am still in the early stages of it. As Shirley 2 says, ‘I could be worse without it’ who knows? It is a bit expensive but I get mine from Holland & Barrett, buy one get one free. I think the last time I got some I got 4 months for about £60.00. 60 cap’s per bottle, 2 bottles 1 a day. 4 Months supply, sorted.
Hope this helps and good luck if you go down that road.

Yes, I tried CBD oil at 28 for the first time, and I still use it at 32. It has been a game changer for me, specifically in managing my anxiety and helping me sleep better at night.

CBD oil has been the subject of significant research over the last few years, and many studies have reported potential benefits of using CBD oil for various conditions. Some studies have suggested that CBD oil may have a positive impact on anxiety, chronic pain, inflammation, epilepsy, and other conditions. However, it is important to note that these studies are preliminary, and further research is needed to fully understand the effects of CBD oil on the human body.

Individual experiences with CBD oil may vary, as everyone’s body is different and may respond differently to various substances. It is important to consult with a healthcare professional before using CBD oil, especially if you are taking other medications or have underlying health conditions.

If you are interested in trying CBD oil, it is essential to choose a reputable brand and start with a low dose. It is also important to monitor your symptoms and consult with your healthcare provider regularly. As with any supplement or medication, it is crucial to prioritize safety and speak with a medical professional before beginning use.

I know this thread’s from a couple of years ago, but the theme of sharing pandemic experiences still resonates. Every story adds depth to our understanding of how the pandemic affected different communities.

Yes, Useless and expensive…

Expensive though…but it certainly helped me! I ordered cbd oil this summer from CBD Armour for my insomnia. And it is helping me with my sleeps. Try changing the brand.
