Hi geordie,
There is a thing called parkinsonism which looks awfully like PD itself, often the only way to keep them apart is starting people on PD medication. people with parkinsonism will not react so much to the medication. But it could be that the dosis is too low for you to start with so it has at this moment no effect yet. best is to talk to your PD nurse or doctor about it.
Advised to increase my dose to 3 tablets 3 times per day 12.5mg/50mg to see how it goes.
if ineffective to increase to 4 tablets 3 times per day.
How are you getting on ?
Hi,
I am doing fine but need adjustment of the medication i think, at 4 pm its like some pulls the plug out of me. I am on the waiting list for the parkinson clinic so have to wait till then, for the rest i am doing fine.
My husband was put on stalivo 50 then 75 he's getting clawing of his feet his foo,t turns in a bit twitch in his eye is it side effects of stalivo he was walking better now it's a backward step any ideas please will they up it or tell him to stop it x
I have been taking sinenet for ages now to mainly good effect, thats 25/100 there times a day and 50/200 at night. I'm not sure if what I'm suffering, mild pressure over the eyes and headache / giddiness throughout the day is a side effect, any ideas. I'm also on loads of heart tablets which combined with the PD stuff might be the cause, I'm also on requip XL 10 mg. My senior registra, consultant not around, think it is not PD related but offered no advice. Where do I go now???
theres a web site where you can put name tablets to see if they go together & side affects, have you had headaches alot or just started with new meds if so stop taking that med for a couple days & see if any change ,goggle the tablet checker.
PRESCRIBED MADOPAR FROM JANUARY THIS YEAR.
REGULAR DIARRHOEA SINCE MID MARCH, USUALLY AT NIGHT TIME..WONDER IF THIS IS A SIDE EFFECT.HAVE BEEN TAKING TABLETS 8-12-4 BUT MAY CHANGE TO 8- 2-8PM TO TRY AND GET ME THROUGH THE NIGHT WITHOUT INTERRUPTION.
ANYONE HAD SIMILAR EXPERIENCES?
meds normally last for about 4 hrs you might get off period if you start taking every six hrs ! contact gp or pd nurse they will give you something for the runs !
