I was diagnosed with Parkinson just over 18 months ago I am 72 and have always been an active person, but it really hit me hard, (and my wife) its only the start of this year I have come to terms with it,
So I am all set for my 10k run next week I have been training since Jan as I decided it was time for me to step up with this thing called Parkinson, the shock of being told I had it 18 months ago has past and reading the post on here made me think twice as so many people suffering but getting on with life it is so encouraging, yes I hurt yes the pain is still there but I do feel better in myself, so now running, walking the dog twice a day, gardening, and the DIY round the house, plus still working, I recommend keeping active as long as you can,
