Key pad and printer

Hello

Hope someone can give me some guidance please. My Mum is finding writing a challenge and I do not know if such a thing exists but here’s hoping ? What would help would be a keyboard with a built in printer to do shopping lists and important things to remember. Any ideas please. Many thanks Jacqui

I also have a lot of trouble writing and so I use my Amazon Alexa to put together shopping lists and things to do lists.
I simply ask it to create a list and then just ask it to put things on the list, this then comes up on my phone which I take to the shops with me. I’m not sure but I think you can connect this with your printer via WiFi but you’d have to find out about that.
Not sure if this is appropriate for your Mum but I thought it might be worth a try.

Hello,

There are a few options that might help your Mum. I’m not aware of many keyboards with a built-in printer, but a simple laptop or tablet connected to a small printer could work well for shopping lists and reminders. There are also label makers with keyboards that print directly onto labels, though they may not be ideal for longer notes.

If typing is easier than writing, you could consider a large-key keyboard, which many people find easier to use. Another possibility is speech-to-text software, where your Mum can simply speak and have the words typed for her. Programs like Dragon NaturallySpeaking or the voice typing features built into Windows and Google Docs can work surprisingly well, and then the list can be printed on a regular printer.

You might also look at electronic note-taking devices designed for people with dexterity issues. An occupational therapist may have some useful suggestions too.

I hope you find something that makes life a little easier for your Mum.
